Product Information

The Pallone by Leolux are modern leather armchairs that offer extreme comfort. The armchairs consist of comfort seat and gently curved backrest and come in a variety of colors, ranging from simple neutrals to splashy shades. Pallone are also available in a mini version “Puppy Pallone” and as footstool.

From The Designer

Designer Roy de Scheemaker has the following to say about the Leolux Pallone:

My inspiration was Goldfinger, Barbarella and the Baardmans and Kale comic strip, without nostalgic retrospection or imitation of shapes or colours. I wanted people to be able to sit comfortably whilst making a beautiful composition. I tried to design a floating cushion but with this, one naturally creates a problem in the design that needs to be solved. The back is clearly an addition, the legs are secondary. Finally a moveable, light chair came into being that is extremely comfortable. A chair that has spirit and humour.

Slim – A Thin and Lightweight Folding Chair by Shiang Ye

Shiang Ye, a company which specializes in folding chairs and metal chairs has participated in the 2011 International Forum (iF) design awards for the first time. Unexpectedly, Slim, it’s simple and lightweight folding chair won an iF gold.

Available in a powder coated black or silver, Slim is designed with the screwless concept, eliminating the unwanted fussiness engendered by extra parts. The chair is also sturdier than folding chairs with screws.

Has a uniform thickness and width, Slim’s most distinctive feature is folding structure, it’s quite safe, and does not cause worries about getting one’s hands painfully sandwiched. When folded, a Slim lies completely flat. A stack of 30 folded chairs only reached the height of a single opening. And because Slim is very thin and lightweight, they are easy to move or be removed.

At NT $ 999, Slim slightly more expensive than a regular folding chair, but Shiang Ye still hopes to focus on the mass market.
