LunaBlocks – Unique Furniture Made of Giant Lego Bricks
Inspired by children’s building blocks, Thierry Nahon and Philippe Landecker has designed LunaBlocks, a furniture concept that saw the colorful giant stacked blocks together to form all kinds of furniture. For a unique coffee table, grabbed only two LunaBlocks, add a piece of glass and voila! Similarly, the chair or bench can be created quickly and easily. LunaBlocks can be made from a variety of different materials including metal, concrete and glass acrylic and are available in packs of one, two, four or eight pegs.
LunaSoft range includes specially designed for use as children’s furniture, though it seems clear enough that most adults would consider using these stylish pieces as readily as they’d go for mobile phone deals or a free commute to work. It is very resistant, extremely lightweight and made of expanded polypropylene (Arpro ®), which is shock-resistant material. This block can work together with the pillow-like LunaLight made from natural rubber and can be stacked on the other luna blocks to create more comfortable seating.
Two more sophisticated members of LunaBlocks family are LunaMetal, which packed in steel and elegantly made bookshelf or coffee table and LunaGlass which can be opaque, matte or translucent, and will be updated each season with new colors and materials.
